Traditional
Markets
What
would the Danforth be without its traditional markets?
When we say traditional we mean merchants that have
catered to the public since the beginning of the Danforth
Community. Most of these shops are primarily fruit
shop, meat shops and of course bakeries.
Sun
Valley for example was a small fruit shop at this
very corner and today it has grown into a large complex
that continues to serve customers that visited the
very first day it opened. Today, the same management
runs it and still operates its business as if it was
the original corner fruit market.
The
Canadian Italian Bakery and Pizzeria is another
fine example of tradition. It too has been serving
customers for years. Here you'll discover the tastiest
bread and pizza rolls in the city. Each baker has
been working here for years and continues to use their
personal delicious recipes.
Mister
Greek Meat Shop is the all together favorite.
With its warm service and delicious food, it is no
surprise why we call it the all-traditional market.
Why
do people keep shopping at these markets? Maybe its
because each one has installed a memory that we can't
forget. Either it's good service or wonderful products;
you'll discover your own reason as soon as you walk
into each one of them.
